The purpose is to encourage people not just blindly following the statement people set before, it is more important to understand the reason behind and challenge it if it is unreasonable or uncompleted. One thing to know is all the acknowledgement we know nowadays could be overthrown in future, just like they used to overthrow the last acknowledgement in the past.
